Für einen solidarischen Kiez

Wir leben in Zeiten von wirtschaftlichen Krisen und sozialen Verwüstungen: Die Mieten steigen, Löhne und Renten sinken, Arbeits- und Persönlichkeitsrechte werden permanent beschnitten, Ausgaben für Bildung und Soziales massiv gekürzt. Die Menschen bleiben mit ihren Nöten und Sorgen allein. Die Politik tut nichts für sie, im Gegenteil: Sie beachtet nur die Interessen derjenigen, die auf unsere Kosten Profite machen und immer reicher werden. Da wir uns auf Politiker eben nicht verlassen können, müssen wir selbst etwas tun. Mit dem Aufbau eines weiteren sozialen Zentrums in Stadtfeld möchten wir den aktuellen gesellschaftlichen Zuständen ein Beispiel von gelebter Solidarität entgegensetzen. In der Friesenstraße 52 ist ein Raum für soziale Initiativen und Projekte entstanden. Hier kann die Nachbarschaft zusammenkommen und die Probleme im Kiez gemeinschaftlich angehen.
Beratungen, Stadtteilversammlungen, Bildungs- und Kulturangebote sollen Möglichkeiten bieten und den Zusammenhalt der Nachbarschaft stärken. Was im sozialen Zentrum geschieht, entscheiden diejenigen, die sich dort engagieren möchten, denn nur die Bewohnerinnen und Bewohner des Viertels können wirklich wissen, was die Nachbarschaft braucht.

For a neighborhood in solidarity!

We are living in times of economic crisis and social devastation: rents are rising, wages and pensions are falling, labour and personal rights are being permanently curtailed, spending on education and social welfare is being massively cut. People are left alone with their needs and worries. Politics does nothing for them, on the contrary: it only pays attention to the interests of those who make profits at our expense and get richer and richer. Since we cannot rely on politicians, we have to do something ourselves. With the establishment of another social centre in Stadtfeld we would like to set an example of lived solidarity against the current social conditions.
A space for social initiatives and projects has been created at Friesenstraße 52. Here the neighbourhood can come together and tackle the problems in the neighbourhood collectively. Consultations, neighborhood meetings, educational and cultural opportunities are designed to provide opportunities and strengthen neighborhood cohesion. What happens in the social centre is decided by those who want to get involved there, because only the residents of the neighbourhood can really know what the neighbourhood needs.
